The Tendency Index of Consumers (ITK) in Jawa Barat in the second quarter of 2012 amounted to 108.98 means that consumer economic conditions in the second quarter was improved from the previous quarter. Thus the level of consumer optimism is higher when compared to the first quarter of 2012 (ITK value of 106.14). Improved consumer economic condition was driven primarily by an increase in household income (index value 110.67). In addition to improving consumer economic conditions in the quarter II-2012 is also caused by the absence of influence of inflation on daily food consumption (index value equal to 108,94).
