Abstract

CPI Combined Jawa Barat covering 7 cities of Bandung, Cirebon, Tasikmalaya, Bekasi, Bogor, Sukabumi and Depok experienced inflation of 0.58 percent in June 2012, when compared to May 2012 CPI. Thus recorded inflation during 2012 (January - June) or year to date reached 1.53 percent and year-on-year inflation over the last twelve months or year on year by 4.08 percent. Of the seven groups of household expenditures, six groups experienced the highest inflation in the foodstuff category by 1.61 percent, followed by the food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco category by 0.55 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group 0.29 percent, health group 0.19 percent, clothing 0.18 percent, and lowest inflation in education, recreation and sports category by 0.01 percent, while transport, communication & financial services group experienced deflation of 0.16 percent.
