Jawa Barat Poverty Rate March 2012

The number of poor people (population below the Poverty Line) in Jawa Barat in March 2012 amounted to 4,477,530 people (10.09 percent). Compared to March 2011 which amounted to 4,648,630 people (10.65 percent), the number of poor people in March 2012 decreased by 171,100 people (0.56 percent). The number of poor people in March 2012 for urban areas is 2,576,100 (8.84 percent of urban population) while in rural areas 1,901,430 people (12.48 percent of total rural population).

Jawa Barat poverty line in March 2012 is Rp. 231,438, - or an increase of 5.15 percent compared to the March 2011 poverty line (Rp 220,098, -).
