Jawa Barat Province rice production in 2009 reached 11,322,681 tons of GKG equivalent to 7,155,934ton of rice or an increase of 11.98 percent compared to 2008. Increased rice production in 2009 due to its productivity increase of 3.57 percent of 56.06 quintal per hectare in 2008 to 58.06 quintals per hectare in 2009 and an increase in harvested area by 8.13 percent from 1,803,628 hectares in 2008 to 1,950,203 hectares in 2009. reaching 11,088,547 tonnes of GKG or equivalent to 7,007,961 tons of rice or down of -2.07 percentage points in 2009. The decline in rice production forecast in 2010 was due to a decline in forecast of harvested area by -2.87 percent, while productivity forecast was estimated at 0.83 percent compared to 2009. Corn production in Jawa Barat in 2009 reaching 787,599 tons or an increase of 23.10 percentage points in 2008. This increase is due to the increase in harvested area and the productivity of each 14.90 percent and 7.12 percent.
