In August 2010 the number reached 18,893,835 people, while in August 2011 19,356,624 people The number of people working in Jawa Barat in August 2011 increased compared to August 2010. In August 2011 the working population was recorded as many as 17,454,781 people, while in August 2010 16,942,444 people, an increase of 512,337 people. During the period of one year there was a decrease in the number of unemployed as many as 49,548 people.In August 2010 the unemployed Jawa Barat recorded as many as 1.951.391 people, whereas in August 2011 the unemployed was recorded totaling 1,901,843 people. Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) of Jawa Barat has decreased compared to August 2010 by 0.50 percent and TPT February 2011 by 0.01 percent.
