May 2008 Inflation Increasing About 1.55 Percent In Seven City In Jawa Barat

The combined seven cities in Jawa Barat (Bandung, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, Bekasi, Bogor, Sukabumi and Banjar) experienced inflation of 1.55 percent in May 2008, thus inflation in 2008 (January-May) reached 5.34 percent and inflation year to the last twelve months by 10.24 percent & fuel by 2.39 percent, followed by the foodstuff category 2.04 percent, transport, communication & financial services group 1.65 percent, health group 1.00 percent, food, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group 0.75 percent, education, recreation & sports 0.30 percent and clothing 0.06 percent.
